Register for the Paul White Road Race

Registration is now open for the Paul White Road Race, the annual 4.81-mile run through the village of North Falmouth. The 2023 race will take place Saturday, July 8, beginning and ending on Chester Street between the North Falmouth Library and Megansett Park (site of the market owned for many years by the race's namesake and his wife, Audrey). Last year the race drew more than 200 participants, and race director Ron Chapman expects a similarly enthusiastic response this year.
If you'd like to sign up for the race— it's a great day for community, camaraderie, exercise and plain old fun—just click on the link below. (The $25 registration fee supports the NFVA's annual scholarships, among other social and educational activities.) In addition to runners, Ron also needs volunteers and sponsors to help with all the details that go into this race. If you can help, email Ron at paulwhiteroadrace@gmail.com.
The road race will again be preceded the evening before by Village Unplugged, when local and regional musicians gather on the North Falmouth Library lawn for an evening of acoustic tunes. The event typically runs from 5 to 7 p.m. Bring a picnic meal (along with chairs and blankets), enjoy Sea Scoops ice cream (available onsite again), and enjoy tunes ranging from soft rock to traditional folk to evocative story songs.
