In 2006, the NFVA led the development of the Nye Park Playground. Twenty years later, it's time for an upgrade to ensure it offers children and their families many more years of fun and memories. The association is now working with the town's Recreation Department to reimagine Nye Park's future, and we're inviting the community to help.
On Saturday, July 25, Board member Brittney Dexter (standing, below center) and NFVA co-president Ruth McLaughlin (far right) led a community discussion that generated ideas for how the park could evolve. Among the topics discussed were design themes (ocean, ship, prominent local buildings), fencing (partial vs fully enclosed, possibly a white picket fence), the importance of sun covering, and accessibility for diverse ages and abilities.

Coffee was generously donated by The Daily Brew Coffee House & Lounge.
If you couldn't make the meeting, you can still participate. The link below will take you to a short questionnaire where you can share your thoughts and ideas.
We're also accepting donations to help fund new playground equipment and ensure Nye Park continues to be a treasured destination for families throughout North Falmouth.
