The first North Falmouth Porchfest—an afternoon of local bands playing on lawns and porches along Old Main Road—took place Aug. 6, with hundreds of visitors packed into five venues and, in some cases, lining the road itself. Adding to the festivities was an Arts and Crafts Pop-up on the field adjacent to Cynthia Bourget's Law Office (194 Old Main Road). It featured the work of some of the area's best visual, ceramic, fiber, and literary artists.
The musicians offered something for every taste—from folk tunes and traditional chanties to indie and classic rock.
